Prayer summit at Woodford Square
Entertainment News December 30th, 2011Woodford Square will ring out with the sounds of prayer, worship and song on Sunday from 3 pm when Christians and other concerned citizens converge on the venue for “D-Day World Prayer Summit 2012.”
D-Day prayer has been held in Trinidad and Tobago for the past 15 years at various national venues. Over the past three years the event has been in the form of a prayer summit, extending beyond one day. This year, another prayer summit will be held at The Oasis, 101 Circular Road, San Fernando on Monday from 4 pm to 7.30 pm; and a Youth D-Day will take place at the Divine Encounter Fellowship, Ragoo Road, D’Abadie on Saturday January 7 from 3 pm to 6.30 pm.
For this year’s D-Day, the Trinidad and Tobago Council of Evangelical Churches and the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International TT are joining forces with the National Network of Intercessors as part of the Jubilee Celebrations, celebrating 50 years as an independent nation.
The theme for D-Day 2012 is: “Sound the Alarm: Here Comes the Joel Generation.” Spokesman for D-Day World Prayer Summit, Apostle J Vernon Duncan said the event will see a large number of young people and adults being called forth and sent forth as a mighty army of God – the Joel Generation – as the Generals of the Church.
Duncan is particularly excited that each segment of the dramatic intercession on D-Day will be introduced with the combined sound of about eight shofars (Ram’s horns), sounded by a Trinidad-based Rabbi and his team, the Sh’kinah Restorahtion Messianic Fellowship.
